The beginning of the World AIDS Day march as they carry one of the two banners Julie and I made.
Lots of people showed up to march from Mambis to Kumbis market
Spreading the word about HIV/AIDS and how it can be prevented and treated
. It was a sea of red (Sadly I forgot all my red shirts, so I wore white. However, on the bright side, it made it easier for everyone to spot me.
Continuing on in solidarity
One of their cards decorated with posters for the occasion
Joseph passing out pamphlets to people we pass
At the Kumbis market making speeches
Those in the market beginning to pay attention
And bigger… we estimated about 500 people at one point
Julie wandering the market answering people’s questions
This little pig went to the market…and learned all about how to keep HIV/AIDS from spreading
