Prayer Requests (12/06/08)

· Thanksgiving for healing for Liz, for safety and joyful memories of our trip to Madang, for opportunities to share resources and ideas with like-minded people, for dolphins, fish, fresh coconuts, mangoes and sunsets, for advent and the coming of our Lord, and for all the blessings for which I am grateful this Thanksgiving.

· That God may give me rest and may ease some of the cultural tensions I am once again experiencing. There is such a different sense of time here than what I have been accustomed to during most of my life.

· That God may grant us patience as many aspects of our technologies haven’t been working lately (namely my camera, our T.V. station, our phoneline, my stove, a couple functions of my computer, the screen on my i-pod which is cracked, and our electricity which goes off and on frequently since our back-up generator is broken). And if it be God’s will, healing some of those technologies would be nice too.

· That I and others may not fall into the trap of comparing ministries, but rather be inspired to action through the Holy Spirit to serve in the ministries to which God has called us.

· That God may bring peace to the hearts of family and friends in the States who feel the effects my absence.
